The Pear Tree Inn in Hildersham, Cambridgeshire has been closed against the wishes of the local residents for nearly three years.

Hildersham Pub Co is a Community Benefit Society attempting to acquire the site of the former village pub, The Pear Tree, and run it as a community-owned pub in the heart of our village.

The Pear Tree pub’s doors closed in August 2013. Since then it has been a German Furniture shop, a B&B and a home. In October 2016 the owners put the building up for sale.

Hildersham Pub Co’s vision is to run this as more than just a pub, offering a meeting place and other services to the local community.

We are seeking support from individuals and organisations who want to get involved in our campaign. You can contact us at Hilpubco@gmail.com or find us on Facebook here.

We are now collecting pledges towards the costs of buying the site, you can make your pledge here: Online pledge form
